Anyone can have cosmetic dentistry done. It's not just for people who want to look good – cosmetic dentistry can also help people with tooth problems or who have had other dental work done.
Types of Cosmetic Dentistry
The types of cosmetic dentistry vary depending on what you are looking to achieve. In general though, there are three types: veneers, crowns and bridges.

Veneers: Veneers are thin, tooth-like pieces of porcelain that are bonded to the front or back of your teeth. They can be used to improve the appearance of your smile by hiding minor blemishes, correcting discolored teeth or adding depth to a weak smile.
Crowns and bridges: Crowns and bridges are similar in principle to veneers, but they replace more than just a single tooth. A crown is a piece of dental stone that is fixed onto the front or back of your tooth using cement and dental adhesive.
A bridge is a series of small crowns and caps that are connected by metal wires and placed over gaps between adjacent teeth. They’re often used to correct problems with bite alignment or to give teeth more support.
How much does cosmetic dentistry cost?
The cost of cosmetic dentistry varies depending on the procedure being done. Generally, however, it will cost more than standard dental care.
